New from XILS-Lab are the LX122 and LX122 Premium plug-ins, which emulate the sound of rotary speakers. The new plug-ins are Mac and Windows compatible and support VST, Audio Units, and RTAS formats. Type of plugin: VSTi. What it does: This virtual analog synth was inspired by the Clavia Nord.

1. AZR3 by Rumpelrausch

Not only free, it’s also open source.
This is a very good drawbar emulation, with onboard FX, nice saturation, and the speaker leslie emulation. Perfect for emulating gospel organ and rock organ. And check the “NHL” preset!

As all the other plugins in this list are 32 bit, it could be nice to compile a 64 bit version.

Being built for organs, but having the necessary functionality for guitars, keyboards, and other instruments as well, MVintageRotary is an audio plugin based on its renowned counterparts, Leslie cabinet.

The rotary simulation tool brings close at hand various features letting you adjust the stereo width, the dynamics, amount, and internal dampening, and many other aspects, but you should bear in mind that it promises to resemble the original in a striking manner by default.

Aside from that, it is worth pointing out that MVintageRotary allows you to create a match between the tempo of your track and the rotation speeds, not to mention that the rotation direction can also be modified.

Neat modulators are included as well, which means that having the rotary switched from fast to slow and the other way around with minimal interference on your side is an option.

As said, MVintageRotary was created mainly for organs, and proof of that lies in the fact that flawless emulation of the analog distortion is a given. In addition to that, the audio plugin provides you with hard-core digital distortion effects.

Other functionality worth mentioning includes tube saturation, smart randomization, a safety limiter, mutiparameters, and more. As for the interfaces MVintageRotary can handle, VST, AU, VST3, and AAX are included, with both 32- and 64-bit architectures being supported.

• Intel/AMD processor with SSE2 support

Limitations in the unregistered version

• Commercial software is available as fully functional 15-day trial.
• After that, the plugin switches to demo mode with several limitations.
