In 2015, in collaboration with ARP Instruments co-founder David Friend, KORG recreated the original 1972 ARP ODYSSEY using precise models of the transistors, capacitors, and resistors used in the hardware model. KORG has once again recreated the ODYSSEY in plugin form. ARP Odyssey: the legendary analog synthesizer released by ARP Instruments in 1972. The ARP Odyssey which Korg brought back in 2015 was designed with the advisory assistance of ARP Instruments cofounder David Friend. In that model, Korg was able to nail the sound of the original ARP Odyssey.
