I buy the Presonus Studio 192 Mobile, and came with the Studio One 3 Artist. Now i need to work with the plugins i used for Cubase 7, like Guitar Rig 5, Broomstick Bass, Addictive Drums, etc.
Studio One - How To Add Native Instruments Plugins
How to add Native Instruments plugins (VSTs) in Studio One 4.5
When you install Native Instruments plugins through Native Access, the default location is it’s own folder –
C: > Program Files > Native Instruments > VSTPlugins 32/64
However, this path is not included in Studio One by default, so you will need to manually add it.
In Studio One, click, Studio One > Options > Locations > VST Plugins
Click ‘Add’
And navigate to the Native Instruments VST plugins folder. Hit ‘Apply’ and Studio One will scan the plugins.
Then, you should have all your Native Instruments plugins in Studio One. If they are not showing, try restarting Studio One Pro.
| I'm definitely a newbie here so please pardon my ignorance of such a basic concept. Can I use 3rd Party VST plugins with v3 Artist? There is no VST tab under options/locations so will I have to upgrade to pro for this facility? Thanks |
| Correct, however you have options to expand Artist with the Mai Tai Synth and a few other propriety plugins, but if you want VST and all the other benefits, Pro s the best way to go. (Artist Includes a Rewire / VST addon you can purchase however). Should you want to upgrade, from Artist 3 to Professional 3, well that would be £209.00 on top of the £131.70 for both Studio One Artist 3 and the VST/Rewire plugin. You would essentially in the long run be paying an extra £60 more than the current cost of SO3 Pro which is £279. You have the option to wait till black friday where there is normally some deals on, but with Presonus's recent major version release of SO3, it's hard to say what the saving would be, even from a retailer such as sweetwater. http://studioone.presonus.com/compare-versions phpBB [video] Last edited by scottmoncrieff on Sun Sep 20, 2015 6:47 pm, edited 8 times in total. | When I saw the title of this thread I thought 'Oh no, another thread about no VST support for Artist'. It's so nice to answer that there is an add-on available that I believe is better than the prior 'Producer' product, in retrospect that is how it should have been done in the first place. OOPs, I hope that doesn't dredge up a sore spot with Producer users... My bad. Then make sure that you have properly activated the Artist version. I have seen issues where a user has either tried the 30 day demo, or have tried Prime, and the old shortcut still remains and opens up Prime. If that is the case, there is an upgrade utility in the help menu when on the start page. That will go out and grab the artist license from your account, and should get everything up and running for you. | 80 British pounds for vst and rewire support is an absolute joke. You can download Cakewalk by Bandlab for free and it has vst support. Ardour has it. Total rip off!! |
